My story about tinnitus
I never had any major health problems, except for a few injured knee tendons and common things like a broken finger. In fact, I was even heavily into weightlifting and living an active lifestyle—I went hiking and lifted heavy weights at the gym. Sure, I drank alcohol occasionally, but in the Czech Republic, it's normal to go out for a beer with friends on Fridays. Anyway, I was around 27 years old, and everything was perfectly normal.
I had great sleep, regularly sleeping a full eight hours straight.
But then, suddenly one day—or rather, one night—I was awakened by a loud ringing in my ears. I had no idea what was happening.
What was that? Completely shocked, I got up holding my ears, not knowing what to do.
I even woke up my girlfriend, telling her about the ringing in my ears and how I had no idea what to do, but nothing seemed to help at that moment.
I searched online to find out what was going on, and that's when I came across the word "tinnitus." At the time, I didn't yet realize this would change my life forever.
